$0.50 Beach Towels at Target
I've found beach towels in the "dollar section" at Target for only $2.50 which I think is already a good price, but there's also a Target coupon out for $2.00 off of beach towels which would make them only $0.50 each! You should be able to print two copies of this coupon from each computer, so you could potentially get lots of cheap towels. This is a great price to stock up on towels to wash the car with if you don't want to use them for yourself.

Droid Update
I didn't actually jump on the Amazon deal on the Droid yet since when I went to check out, it was actually $75 when you extend your contract instead of getting a new one. Now I'm really glad I waited on it since there's now an even better deal on it from somewhere else. Walmart online is offering the Droid for only $19.99 with a new or renewed contract. Please note, this deal is available online only and is not valid in an actual Walmart store, but shipping is free for this phone. Barring some unforeseen circumstances, I'll be ordering this tomorrow although part of me is scared to with all these new and better deals every couple days. Go here to see more details or order one for yourself.
Free Food
Tomorrow's a great day for free food.
In the morning, Starbucks is offering a free pastry with the purchase of a handcrafted drink. This offer is good from 4AM to 10:30AM with this printable coupon. *Note 4AM is only for the 24 hour Starbucks locations, at all other ones it's from the time they open*
The second deal is for a free ice cream cone from Ben & Jerry's. Don't you love free ice cream, I know I do! For a participating location near you, check here. Make sure you check the box "participate in free cone day" when searching for a location. This deal is good from 12PM to 8PM.

DVD Deal Update
So, yesterday I went to Toys R Us/Babies R Us to pick up some new outfits for my little guy since he's outgrown his newborn sized clothes now and we've discovered we don't have very many 0-3 month clothes for him, only a lot of 3-6 and 6-9 month ones. So, I decided to try out the deal to get Toy Story 1 & 2 as well as The Princess and the Frog, but I ran into a bit of trouble. Toys R Us told me that they had reached their limit of pre-orders on Toy Story 1 & 2, so I was unable to get in on the deal. I didn't even know they had a limit on pre-orders! Well I guess that's how deals go sometimes. At least I did get some good deals on some cute baby clothes.

Toy Story 1, 2 and The Princess and the Frog for as little as $5.97
For a little bit of work, 2 trips to Toys R Us, some coupons, and 2 rebates, you can score Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2, and The Princess and the Frog in blu-ray combo packs for only $5.97. So here's how it goes, head over to Toys R Us before Toy Story 1 & 2 get released on Tuesday to pre-order them. You'll have to pay $10 to pre-order them, but you'll get $15 off of the Princess and the Frog. That's selling for $26.99.
So, you're first transaction at Toys R Us will be:
pre-order Toy Story 1 & 2 in blu-ray combo packs for $10
buy The Princess and the Frog for $26.99
Then, they'll deduct $15 since you pre-ordered Toy Story 1 & 2
Use a $10 off The Princess and the Frog coupon from here
So, you're total will then be $11.99 ($10 will go toward your purchase of Toy Story 1 & 2)
*Some people are reporting they got an extra $5 off, but YMMV on this one*
Then starting Tuesday when Toy Story is released, go back and that transaction will look like this:
Buy toy Story 1 & 2 that you've already pre-ordered for $33.98
Use a $10 off Toy Story 1 coupon from here (enter in code 786936294507 to get the coupon *note: you will need a disney movie rewards account, but it's free*
Use a $10 off Toy Story 2 coupon from here (enter in code 786936294521 to get the coupon) *note: you will also need a disney movie rewards account for this one*
They'll deduct another $10 since you had already paid that toward them when you pre-ordered them
So, the grand total for that trip will be $3.98
*You'll also have 2 free movie tickets valued at $8.50 each from each movie!*
You're grand total from both trips will be $15.97, but there are 2 rebates available for The Princess and the Frog, you can submit both of them.
The first rebate is from Band-Aid. All you have to do is buy 2 packs of Band-Aids and The Princess and the Frog to get $5 back. You can find the rebate form here.
The second is from Frog Tape. All you have to do for this one is buy at least one roll of Frog Tape and the Princess and the Frog to get $5 back. Frog Tape is like a type of painter's tape. That rebate can be found here.
If you submit both rebates, you'll get all three DVDs on Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack and 2 movie tickets for only $5.97! Not bad considering a movie ticket will cost you that these days.

Droid on Amazon Now Even Cheaper
My previous post about the Motorola Droid is now dead and has been replaced with an even better deal! I went to go order it this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is now only $24.99. So, I'll be getting this today before they raise the price on it. I'll end up snagging this phone for free with my swagbucks amazon gift card cashouts so it'll be an even slicker deal. I'll be posting about swagbucks in a later post. In the meantime you can click on this link to find out more about it yourself!

Right now at Rite Aid or starting 3/21 depending on your area and when sales start and end at your local Rite Aid, there's a great deal on Huggies diapers and wipes. Here's how it goes:

Rite Aid
I may also go to Rite Aid this time if I have the time since the sales end on Thursday here in Southern California. Chief family officer has such a great deal scenario for the $25 J&J Rebate, I just may not be able to resist!

More Target
So, it looks like I'll be picking up a couple more things on my trip to Target. There are a ton of other free items. A complete list can be found over at Couponing to Disney. I think I'll be going for the
- Oral-B Stages Toothbrush
- Band-Aids
- Crest Kid's Toothpaste (4.6oz)
- Starkist Tuna (2.6oz)
- Sobe Life Water
- Johnson First Aid Kit (if I can find the blinkie)
- Scotties Tissue
- Sensodyne Toothpaste
- Reach Floss
It looks like I'll have really clean teeth. I also want to get the free Airwick Freshmatic Ultra iMotion Starter Kit on price cut for $6.
It'll be free after the $5 off coupon from 3/7 Smartsource insert
and the printable Target coupon found here.

Droid on Amazon
Amazon has a great price for the Motorola Droid smartphone with a new 2 year contract or a 2 year extension. It is selling for $199.99 from Verizon's website so even if you get an extra $50 off from their new every 2 program, you still come out way ahead going with Amazon. You do need to have a data plan with unlimited internet though for $29.99 a month, but this is true whether you order from Amazon or Verizon. I had originally thought the slide out keyboard looked kind of flimsy, but everyone I've talked to that has one doesn't seem to think so. Overall, you can't really go wrong with only $50 for a new smartphone. So, I think I'll have to order it to check it out. Besides, I have lots of Amazon credit from swagbucks which I'll talk about in a later post.

Target
It looks like I may have to make a trip to Target this week as well. There's a good deal of Kellogg's Cereal starting on Sunday. It will be on sale 4/$10. There are also two coupons available. One is for $1.50/2 from redplum.com and the other is a Target coupon found here for $1.50/3. You also get back a $5 gift card when you buy 4 selected Kellogg's cereals. So here's my deal scenario:
Buy:
4 Kellogg's cereal
Use:
2 $1.50/2 printable coupons from redplum.com
1 $1.50/3 printable Target coupon from here
Total:
$5.50 and get a $5 gift card back
However, since the Target coupon says manufacturer coupon on it instead of Target coupon, it may or may not go through since you can stack a Target coupon with a manufacturer coupon, but if it is in fact a manufacturer coupon, the cashier may not let you use it. It will have a Target logo on it though. So, it will either by $5.50 and a $5 gift card or $7 and a $5 gift card for 4 boxes of cereal. Either way, I think it's a great deal.

Walgreens
So, I'm planning a trip to Walgreens this week. I don't have any register rewards, so here's what I'm planning based on the ad good from 3/14-3/20.
Transaction #1:
Buy $10 in participating first aid products and get $3 in register rewards
Buy the following:
2 Band-Aid Bandages (20 or 25ct) $3 each
1 Neosporin (0.5 oz) $4
Use the following coupons:
$1 off Band-Aid from 1/3 Red Plum insert
$3 off Band-Aid and Neosporin from 2/21 Smartsource insert
$2 off Band-Aid from Walgreens Children's Activity Book (should deduct $4 for buying two Band-Aid)
$2 off Neosporin from Walgreens Children's Activity Book
Total:
Nothing but tax and get back $3 in Register Rewards, I'll also probably be keeping this receipt to submit for a $5 mail in rebate for the Princess and the Frog. The details for that rebate can be found over at Hip 2 Save.
Transaction #2
Buy Colgate Total Advanced or Enamel Strength Toothpaste (5.8oz) or Sensitive (6oz) for $3.99 and get $3.99 in register rewards
Buy the following:
Colgate Total listed above $3.99
Use the following coupon:
$1 off Colgate total from 3/7 Smartsource insert
Total:
$2.99 + tax
Use $3 register reward from the first transaction and get $3.99 in register rewards back
Transaction #3
Buy 2 participating cold and allergy products and get $5 in register rewards
Buy the following:
2 Tylenol Cold (20-24ct or 4-8oz liquid) for $4.99 each
Use the following coupons:
2 $3 off Tylenol from 3/14 red plum insert
Total:
$3.98 + tax
Use the $3.99 register reward from transaction 2 and get $5 in register rewards back
Transaction #4
Scope Outlast Mouthwash 2/$7, Buy 2 get $2 in register rewards
Buy:
2 Scope
Use:
2 $1 off Scope from 2/7 Proctor&Gamble insert
Total:
$5 + tax
Use the $5 register reward from transaction 3 and get $2 in register rewards back
So, the grand total for everything should be only tax and I'll still have $2 in register rewards to use later. I may also possibly have to use a few cheap filler items depending on whether or not the cashier enforces the coupon policy of having the same number of coupons as items. If this happens I'll throw add the following items into my transaction to create some overage for the fillers.
Nature's Bounty Vitamins and Supplements Buy 1 Get 1 Free
Buy the following:
2 Original Papaya Enzyme (100ct) $3.59 (or possibly a different vitamin or supplement that's cheaper, still on sale, and I can use my coupons with)
Use the following coupons:
2 $2 off Nature's Bounty printable coupon from here (you do need to enroll though)
Total:
$0.59 overage
Reese's Dark Peanut Butter Cups (1.5oz) $0.49 with in-ad coupon
Use $0.55 off Reese's from 3/14 smartsource insert
Total:
$0.06 overage
There are also two other good scenarios I may do depending on whether or not I want to spend that much out of pocket.
Transaction #5
Buy 6 Kleenex get $3 register reward
Buy:
6 Kleenex (110ct box) $0.89 each with in ad coupon
Use:
2 $0.50/3 Kleenex from 2/28 smartsource insert or printable from coupons.com
Total:
$4.34 + tax
Use $2 register reward from transaction 4, pay $2.34 + tax and get $3 register reward
Transaction #6
Buy $20 of participating Vicks products and get $10 register reward
Buy:
4 Vicks Dayquil or Nyquil on sale for $5 each
2 Puffs Tissue free with coupon below
Use:
4 $1.50 off Vicks from 2/21 Proctor and Gamble or 3/7 Proctor and Gamble insert
2 Buy 2 Vicks get Puffs free from 2/7 Proctor and Gamble insert
Total:
$14 + tax
Use the $3 register reward from transaction 5, pay $11 and get $10 register reward
These additional 2 transactions will give me 12 additional items for $13.34 + tax, but I'll have $10 in register rewards for later. So, it's essentially $3.34 for 8 boxes of tissue and 4 Dayquil or Nyquil.

$5 Louboutins?!?!
I just read an article about an online auction site where a pair of Louboutins worth $682 sold for only $5.46 and a Marc Jacobs purse worth $456 sold for $12.36. I asked the same thing you probably are, what's the catch? The catch is that this website oohilove.com is a penny auction site. These seem to be cropping up everywhere. All the products that get sold on these sites start at very low prices, usually under $1. Users of these sites must purchase bid packs in order to bid on these items, this site seems to charge $0.99 a bid. Each time someone bids on an item, that item's auction time gets extended by 30 seconds and the price increases by $0.02. So, even if the item sells for say $5.46 like this pair of Louboutins did, it could have cost that user much more than that in the number of bids that user placed. There are also all the users that paid to place bids on that item and ended up with nothing because they decided it was no longer worth it to them to continue bidding. Although this article offers a few tips on how to increase your chances of winning, they seemed like common sense to me. In fact, they may become counterproductive if everyone uses the same logic to try to win. I think this is just a way for these companies to make people psychologically think they're getting a good deal when in reality there are actually probably very few people that actually do. The vast majority probably will spend a small fortune before ever winning anything. Too bad though because I could sure go for a pair of $5 Louboutins.
Free Pinkberry
If you have a pinkberry nearby, there's an awesome deal going on tonight. They are giving away a free mini mango pinkberry with toppings tonight from 5-9PM. They will also be having a trivia event during this time where you can win gift cards and prizes. You can check out all the details here, check out the store locator, or get the details about this flavor. This sounds like a really yummy flavor and you can't beat free.
Miss Congeniality 1&2 on Blu-Ray
Miss Congeniality 1&2 (double feature on blu-ray) is currently only $8.99 on amazon. Shipping is free with prime or if you spend the standard $25. This is a great price for what is essentially two movies on blu-ray. I personally thought these movies were hilarious and as with other amazon sales, this price won't last long!

I'm new to the blogging world and have just recently started reading blogs. Those blogs have given me the inspiration to start this blog although to be honest, I'm not really sure what I'm doing.
